On August 25, the 3-day long First Smart China Expo (SCE) was brought to a successful end at Chongqing International Expo Center. More than 537 enterprises have participated in SCE, which has an exhibition area of 186,000 square meters. More than 500,000 honored guests and visitors from more than 30 countries (regions) have visited SCE.

With substantial support and cooperation of various teams of Chongqing University, the Scientific and Technological Development Research Institute and Industrial Technology Research Institute of Chongqing University have organized for 43 scientific and technological innovation achievements to be displayed for the first time at SCE. The core technologies and outstanding achievements obtained by Chongqing University in the process of serving intelligence-based upgrading of local industries have been exhibited in a centralized manner. The exhibits include smart transportation, smart manufacturing safety, smart medical care, smart city construction and smart industrial manufacturing. The booth has received nearly 20,000 visitors and handed out more than 5,000 brochures. In addition, more than 10 media have been received and cooperation intention has been achieved with more than 70 enterprises and individuals with respect to the scientific and technological achievements of Chongqing University.

Taking this unique opportunity, Chongqing University has fully demonstrated the innovation spirit and scientific research capacity of CQU students and teachers. Officials of Chongqing University have attached great importance to this event. Wu Cunrong, a standing member of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor of Chongqing, Li Dianxun, vice mayor of Chongqing, Xu Hongbin, director of Chongqing Science and Technology Commission, and other municipal officials have visited the booth of Chongqing University and acknowledged the scientific and technological achievements on display. Zhang Zongyi, CQU president, and Liu Hanlong, CQU vice president, and their companions have also visited the booth and extended their support and concern, and expressed their care for the exhibitors.

During the event, the achievements of Chongqing University have drawn wide attention from the society and potential partners have come and expressed their intention of cooperation one after another. The participation of Chongqing University in SCE has also won positive media comments and warm response from the public. Chongqing Times, CQNews, the Paper and other reputable media have also released detailed reports on the scientific and technological achievements displayed at the SCE. This would help with dissemination of the achievements made by Chongqing University in intelligence related areas. It is hoped that Chongqing University will make further contributions to development of the intelligence industry in Chongqing or even throughout China.
