Recently, the 2017 China College Students’ “Xiaoping Scientific and Technological Innovation Team” Competition organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Young League and China Youth Development Foundation has just ended, and the results have been revealed. The “Futemao” team from Chongqing University successfully wins subsidy of China Youth Scientific and Technological Innovation Award Fund.
The “Xiaoping Scientific and Technological Innovation Team” is supported by China Youth Scientific and Technological Innovation Award Fund and aims to further cultivate the scientific and technological innovation capacity of college students. The China Youth Scientific and Technological Innovation Award Fund was established on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping’s birth in 2004 according to the last wish of Mr. Deng. The relatives of Mr. Deng donated all earnings of Mr. Deng as a writer before his death, and authorized the Central Committee of Communist Young League, the China Youth Federation, All-China Students' Federation and China Young Pioneers National Working Commission to set up the Fund. The Fund selects college students’ scientific and technological innovation teams with outstanding performance or great potential in academic research, scientific and technological competition and achievement dissemination from colleges and universities nationwide, and provides fund for them to carry out scientific and technological innovation researches. A total of 50 teams are dubbed as the “Xiaoping Scientific and Technological Innovation Team” of 2017 after appraisal, recommendation, expert review and online announcement.
“Futemao” team is an independent team founded by Yang Jiannan and other students from the School of Economics and Business Administration of Chongqing University. The team has been engaged in power consumption management, power consumption consultancy and services using the internet, big data and cloud computing and other technologies. They have provided services for industry-leading enterprises such as BAIC Yinxiang, Sino French Water, Yanfeng Johnson Controls, Chengdu Railway Bureau, CQME and Pepsi. The team has won the national silver award in the “Chuangqingchun” China College Students Entrepreneurship Competition, and the national silver award in the Second China “Internet +” College Students Entrepreneurship Competition. Furthermore, the team has been invited to the “red journal of dream building for youths” as part of the Third China “Internet +” College Students Entrepreneurship Competition, and has received an encouraging letter of reply from President Xi Jinping.
