44 CQU researchers named in the list of 2021 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of Elsevier

On April 14, Elsevier, a global information analysis service provider, officially released the list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2021. The list of 2021 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" of Elsevier takes Scopus, a global authoritative citation and index database, as the statistics source of scientific research achievements of Chinese researchers, using the selection method designed by Ranking (Shanghai Ranking). Totally 4,701 Chinese researchers with the greatest global influence in various disciplines are named in the list. A total of 44 CQU researchers are among the named ones, ranking the 27th place among colleges and universities in China.

The 2021 "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" cover 84 first-level disciplines under 10 disciplinary categories of the Ministry of Education. The first-level discipline classifying mapping method (covering 111 disciplines) of the Ministry of Education of Elsevier was used for the basic data of the highly cited researchers after further optimization and updating. The article level mapping allows the data of disciplinary ownership and performance of Chinese researchers to better reflect the academic research biology of China's disciplinary setting. Besides, it improves and depicts in a scientific and accurate way the scientific research output of Chinese researchers, and assists in summarizing, analyzing and studying the citation performance of researchers.



The Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2021 are from 523 colleges, universities, enterprises and scientific research institutions. The Chinese Academy of Sciences (including all scientific research institutes under CAS) has 458 highly cited researchers, ranking the first place.
