CQU's Prof. Song Yongduan and his team win a number of 2021 CAA awards

The 2021 China Automation Congress (CAC) is being held from August 11 to 13, 2022 in Haigeng Assembly Hall, Yunnan. Professor Song Yongduan, Executive Director of China Association of Automation from Chongqing University, and his team were given 3 important awards, including "2021 CAA First Prize for Natural Science", "2021 CAA Award for Automation and AI Innovation Team" and "2021 Second Prize for Higher Education Teaching Achievements".



On the afternoon of August 12, the Thematic Forum under the topic "Advancement and Reliability of Control System" of 2021 China Automation Congress, co-chaired by Song Yongduan and Jiang Bin, Director of China Association of Automation and Vice President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was held in Haigeng Assembly Hall.



At the Thematic Forum, Attendants had discussion over advancement, safety, reliability and actionability of control systems. Professor Mao Zehui from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, You Keyou, a long-term Associate Professor of Tsinghua University, Professor Li Fanbiao from Central South University, Professor Chen Jiming from Zhejiang University, Professor Wang Yujuan from Chongqing University, Researcher Wang Dayi from Beijing Space Vehicle General Design Department, Professor Zhang Zhengqiang from Qubu Normal University and Zhang Jinxi, a specially appointed Associate Professor of Northeast University, delivered marvelous speeches at the event.



“Scientific and Technological Awards of China Association of Automation ” (CAA Scientific and Technological Awards) were launched and founded by China Association of Automation, and include "CAA Natural Science Award", "CAA Technical Invention Award" and "CAA Scientific and Technological Progress Award". CAA Scientific and Technological Awards are selected once a year. A total of 6 First Prizes and 12 Second Prizes for Natural Science were selected in 2022.

Chinese Association of Automation (or CAA) is one of the oldest national first-level academic mass organizations in China. An awarding system that includes the "Scientific and Technological Achievement Award", "the Scientific and Technological Figure Award", "the Scientific and Technological Paper Award" and "Team Achievement Award" has been established, to incentivize and recognize individuals, teams and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the academic progress and industrial development. A total of 3 automation and AI innovation teams were selected in 2022 across China.
