Recently, a paper titled Promoting Citizens' Willingness to Participation in Coproduction in Public Service Through Information Frames, in which A.P. Zhang Jinfeng from the School of Public Policy and Administration, Chongqing University was indicated as the corresponding author, was published online in the top periodical Public Administration. Public Administration is the oldest international periodical of public administration. With JCR impact factor ranking top among the periodicals of political science and public administration for a long time, it is one of the five major periodicals of public administration. This paper was jointly accomplished by Zhang Jinfeng and Wang Yan, a postgraduate under her supervision (the first author of the paper, a postgraduate of 2022 in the School of Public Policy and Administration, Chongqing University and currently a doctoral student in the School of Government, Sun Yat-sen University).
The research involved in this paper was carried out and completed under the support of School of Public Policy and Administration of Chongqing University. The first draft was once reported in the sub-forum of "Application of Experimental Methods in Administration" of China Annual Conference on Public Administration (2021) and the 7th Forum of Young Scholars in Public Administration and awarded the first prize as the excellent paper in the conference. Based on the frame effect theory, this paper takes garbage classification as a specific research situation, and explores the influence of target frame and time frame on citizens' willingness to participate in cooperative production of public service through two between-subjects investigation experiments. The research results indicate that the cooperative production of public service can be promoted through information framework, and the information constructed by combining loss framework and present-oriented framework can promote citizens' willingness to participate in cooperative production to the greatest extent.
