General description

Successful candidates should contribute to the advancement of the university by developing world-class externally funded research programs, being a thought leader in the profession, enhancing the undergraduate and graduate educational missions, and providing active service to their profession. The University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

Qualifications

l Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, and show enthusiasm in teaching and research;

l Abide by academic ethics, have no criminal record, and have no record of violating teacher morality and professional ethics;

l Must have a Ph.D. by the start date of the appointment. Postdoctoral experience is preferred but not required for the junior level appointment;

l Applicants for the tenure-track position must demonstrate the potential to do pioneering research and to teach effectively;

l Candidates to be considered at the senior level should have an outstanding leadership record in academic research and education.

Salary and related work and living conditions

l Annual salary: up to RMB 800,000 (including annual salary, allowance, tax etc.);

l Research start-up funding: up to RMB 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 for science and engineering disciplines, or RMB 800,000 for humanities and social sciences subjects;

l Settling-in and housing subsidies: up to RMB 2,100,000 (Including national and local subsidies);

l May provide assistance with spousal employment and children's education;

l Commensurate with achievements and experience.
