The “Double-First-Rate” construction of Chongqing University is currently seeing steady progress. Chongqing University is now concentrating efforts on the frontier of world science and technology and the layout and construction of great life disciplines. The basic research has been enhanced and the original innovation has been highlighted. As a result, a number of major academic achievements have been made successively. Recently, CQU’s scientific research teams have published a number of research findings in Nature, Science and Cell, with Chongqing University as the corresponding author or first signatory organization. On September 14, 2018, Clarivate Analytics updated the ESI data in the natural course of its bimonthly updating. The latest result shows that the Plant & Animal Science of Chongqing University have been the first time included in the top 1% ESI disciplines, and Clinical Medicine has been included again. Now 7 disciplines of Chongqing University are included among the top 1 ESI disciplines, including Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Plant & Animal Science and Clinical Medicine.

It also serves as one of the most important internationally recognized indicators of the disciplinary development level.
