The 15th National Academic Conference on Rheology (Rheo 2020) held in Chongqing

On December 4 to 7, 2020, the 15th National Academic Conference on Rheology (Rheo 2020), organized by the School of Opto-electronic Engineering, CQU, was held at Keyuan Days Hotel.

Totally 8 experts, including Professor Wu Aixiang, vice president of University of Science and Technology Beijing, were specially invited to the event to deliver speeches. Ming Ju, vice president of CQU, Qin Lan, secretary of CPC Committee of the School of Opto-electronic Engineering, Guo Yongcai, dean of the School, all members of the Specialized Committee on Rheology, and more than 380 experts and scholars from 139 organizations across China attended the event. Yu Miao, director of the Magnetorheological Research Center of the School of Opto-electronic Engineering, presided over the event.



On behalf of Chongqing University, Ming Ju delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and extended his warm congratulations on the opening of the event and sincere welcome to all officials and experts. Ming Ju introduced the development history and achievements of Chongqing University in the magnetorheological area, and expressed his hope to learn from the advanced experience of other colleges and universities, deepen the exchange and cooperation with peers, further promote the construction of relevant disciplines of Chongqing University, and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of local and national social economy.



Zhang Jingjun, chairman of the Organizing Committee and a member of the Specialized Committee on Rheology, firmly approved the efforts made by officials, teachers and students of Chongqing University, especially those of Yu Miao and his team, and gave a brief view of the tasks of the Specialized Committee on Rheology.



Guo Yongcai introduced the development history of the Magnetorheological Research Center of Chongqing University, and briefly described the research progress and achievements of the research and development of key technologies, such as active stabilization of optical platform, ultra precision machining of weak rigid parts, magnetic induction self re-configurable electromagnetic wave absorption, soft landing of aircraft and recoil buffer.



The event was divided into six sessions: theory-simulation-test technology, polymer and its processing rheology, electro-magnetic-optical rheology, petroleum and mining rheology, rock and soil rheology, multi-phase and multi-component system rheology. The attendants exchanged ideas on latest research results and problems to be solved in the magnetorheological area, based on which further research plan in the magnetorheological area was proposed.
