A Delegation Led by Joël Cuny, President of ESTP Paris, Visits CQU

On March 20, a delegation headed by Mr. Joël Cuny, President of ESTP Paris, visited CQU. Prof. Li Yingmin, CQU Assistant President and Dean of the CQU National Elite Institute of Engineering, met with the delegation.



At the meeting, Li Yingmin expressed his warm welcome to Mr. Joël Cuny and his delegation, briefed the visiting guests on the history of CQU, CQU's efforts in training scientific research talents, and the recent progress of CQU's engineering disciplines. Li also recapped the history of cooperation between the two universities in international exchanges. He indicated that it is hoped that by capitalizing on the strengths of the two universities in the civil engineering program, the two sides will enhance their cooperation with the industry, facilitate an international industry-academia-research institutes-users chain, and accelerate the cultivation of engineers of excellence.



Ms. Sophie-Caroline Huisman, Head of International Relations Department of ESTP Paris, made a presentation on ESTP's history and featured education programs. She pointed out that ESTP attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation. By visiting CQU, one of the foremost partners of ESTP, ESTP intends to give further play to the disciplinary strengths of the two universities in the field of civil engineering, to comprehensively promote the dual-degree joint cultivation program, and to foster the cultivation of talents, exchange of visits of faculty members and cooperation in scientific research.



Afterwards, under the joint witness of the attending guests, Mr. Li Yingmin and Mr. Joël Cuny renewed the framework cooperation agreement between the two universities.

Prof. Zhang Wengang, Vice Dean of the CQU School of Civil Engineering, and Mr. Gao Xiang, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs, and others attended the signing ceremony.
