Two CQU students appraised as national models for employment and entrepreneurship of college students

In the first half of 2017, in response to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang’s instructions with regard to employment and entrepreneurship of college students and their call for college students to work at the primary level, and to enhance the propaganda with respect to employment and entrepreneurship of college graduates, the Ministry of Education has collected stories about successful employment and entrepreneurship of college students nationwide.


According to related arrangement of Chongqing University, the Employment Center has been working closely with the schools to select and identify advanced models. Eventually, a total of 5 students from the School of Arts, the School of Computer and the Law School have been recommended to related departments of the Ministry of Education and Chongqing Education Committee. After assessment of the Ministry of Education and Chongqing Education Committee, two students are appraised as national models for employment and entrepreneurship of college students. Specifically, Zhang Yiyue, a postgraduate of 2016 from the Law School, is appraised as the model for employment at the primary level, and Liu Zhipeng, a postgraduate of 2018 from the School of Computer, is appraised as the model for entrepreneurship.


This event is organized by China Higher Education Student Information and Career  Center. The story collection has been mainly targeted at college graduates working at the primary level, college graduates starting a business and undergraduate soldiers. Only 160 students from 120 colleges and universities have been selected nationwide in total.

 

Appendix: Stories of Selected Models

Zhang Yiyue, a graduated postgraduate of 2016 majoring in procedural law of the Law School, was a selected graduate of Kaizhou District, Chongqing in 2016. She was then transferred to Linjiang Town People’s Government and worked as a cadre in charge of primary level poverty alleviation there. During the period, Zhang examined different policies carefully, and conducted investigations in villages with the organization several times to listen to the opinions and advices of the public. She strived for a number of municipality projects, water conservancy projects and transportation projects, and applied for supporting financing and funds projects for the resettlement areas, which have benefited more than 1,000 residents. At the same time, Zhang managed to expedite the e-business construction using the Internet + industry mode based on the actual situation of the poverty-stricken villages, in an effort to build a characteristic country brand; in addition, a complete enterprise-to-household and enterprise-to-individual targeted poverty alleviation system was established, with a combination of measures taken, so as to assist in poverty alleviation. Zhang actively responded to President Xi and Premier Li’s call for college graduates to work at the primary level to play a more important role and set an example for other college graduates.

Liu Zhipeng, a postgraduate of 2018 of the School of Computer, majoring in computer science and technology, and the founder of the Chongqing University College Student Cross-school Entrepreneurship and Innovation Internet Team “Qinfenfeng Technology” (i.e., Hello Chongqing Qinfenfeng Technology Co., Ltd.); the Company is set up to provide career guidance for college graduates and carry out shared learning research and development. In 2016, the annual market value of fresh graduate talents incubated by the team reached 2 million yuan, and the average starting salary topped 120,000 yuan. Chongqing Commercial Daily issued a special edition for the team, which was appraised as one of the Top 10 Innovation Project Teams of Chongqing in 2015. Furthermore, the team was also appraised as the national excellent project team by Department of Ideological and Political Education, the Ministry of Education and Social Work Bureau of Office of the Central Leading Group for Cyberspace Affairs in 2015.
