In order to strengthen the cooperation between universities and the local government in talents, meet the needs of students’ career development and enhance their understanding of construction and development of the Great Bay Area, at the invitation of Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, the Employment Center sent 21 outstanding master and doctoral students from 10 schools, including the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Economics and Business Administration, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, to the 2019 “4^th Xiangzhou Master and Doctor Recruitment Fair” of Zhuhai.

It is reported that the Fair adheres to the tenet of "face-to-face talent selection for enterprises and zero cost employment for students", so as to build a bridge between enterprises in Xiangzhou District and the vast number of students. More than 30 large key enterprises in Xiangzhou District, such as Gree Electric Appliances Inc. and New Star, have invited 152 doctors and masters and excellent undergraduates from 69 well-known universities at home and abroad, including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Chongqing University to this event.

The “4^th Xiangzhou Master and Doctor Recruitment Fair” of Zhuhai officially opened at 9:00 am on November 20, 2019. Zhou Disong, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xiangzhou District Committee and head of the Organization Department, delivered a speech. In the speech, Zhou pointed out that Xiangzhou, as the main urban area of Zhuhai, is the political, economic and cultural center of Zhuhai, one of the bridgeheads and footholds of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the only urban area connected with the roads and bridges in Hong Kong and Macau, and therefore it has a bright future. Zhou stressed that Xiangzhou would always strive to build Xiangzhou into a talent highland and a land of innovation and entrepreneurship on the West Bank of the Pearl River Estuary with the greatest sincerity, the most effective measures, the highest efficiency, the best service and the most encouraging environment. We hope that more talents will choose Xiangzhou, start their business in Xiangzhou, make brilliant achievements and shape a bright future here.

Relevant comrades of the Organization Department of the CPC Xiangzhou District Committee introduced the latest "Xiangshan Talent Plan" and the "1 + 8" policy system of Xiangzhou District this year. Talent representatives from Gree Electric Appliances Inc, Guangdong VTR Bio-Tech Co., Ltd., and Zhuhai Jieli Technology Co., Ltd. made speeches on the stage and shared their work and life experience in Xiangzhou, and promoted the desirable innovation and entrepreneurship environment in Xiangzhou.

After the kick-off meeting, the students were invited to more than 30 key enterprises in Xiangzhou District, such as Gree Electric Appliances Inc., New Star, Mektec and Titans New Power, for in-depth communication and match-making. The employers spoke highly of the students trained by Chongqing University, and some students and the employers also reached preliminary employment intention.

During the event, the students were active, enthusiastic and passionate, and they fully demonstrated the passion and vitality of the contemporary young people ready to serve the national and regional economic development and entrepreneurship. At the same time, their horizon got broadened, insights increased, through this event and they got clearer future career choices and life plans. Thanks to the careful organization of the Government of Xiangzhou District government and schools, this event has been a complete success.

The three-day trip to Xiangzhou, Zhuhai has come to an end. It’s a great honor to have this precious opportunity to meet 152 doctors and masters and excellent undergraduate students from 69 universities at home and abroad, including Gree Electric Appliances Inc., New Star and other top enterprises in Xiangzhou and have in-depth communication. Huafa Group stands for half of Zhuhai City. I have the honor to visit Huafa Group, one of the two leading state-owned enterprises in Zhuhai, to have in-depth communication with the manager of Human Resources Department of the Enterprise. I gained a deep understanding of the history and development of Huafa, and felt the pioneering and forward-looking altitude as a leading enterprise. Zhuhai is known as the "city of 100 islands", with a uniquely favorable geographical location, four pleasant seasons, and easy access to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. With the addition of the strong talent introduction plan launched by the Government, the future development potential of Zhuhai will be astonishing.

Its’ a great honor to have the opportunity to take part in the “4^th Xiangzhou Master and Doctor Recruitment Fair”. The three-day trip to Zhuhai benefited me a lot. During the event, we were able to visit our favorite enterprises, experience the corporate culture, which was more realistic than the presentation since the Autumn Job Fair, and gave me a preliminary understanding of the place where we are going to work in the future. This is the first time I have been in Zhuhai. The four pleasant seasons, fresh air and abundant sea resources in Zhuhai demonstrated the livability of the city. During the visit to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, a world engineering miracle, its magnificence makes me proud of being a Chinese! Finally, I would like to thank the Chongqing University and the Government of Xiangzhou District for giving me this opportunity.

It’s a great honor to be able to take part in the “4^th Xiangzhou Master and Doctor Recruitment Far”. I’m very grateful to the Government of Xiangzhou District and Titans New Power for their invitation. I’m also very grateful to Chongqing University for providing us with such a good opportunity and platform, so that we are able to communicate with enterprises face to face with no cost. During this trip to Xiangzhou, I felt the passion and romance of Zhuhai, as well as the importance Zhuhai attaches to talents. The "Xiangshan Talent Plan" and the "1 + 8" policy system provide strong support for talents to start their career and business in Xiangzhou. There are many large-scale enterprises in Zhuhai, including many of the top 500 listed companies in China, such as Gree Electric Appliances Inc. and New Star, which provide us with a better employment platform. At the same time, the government also expressed their welcome to us and their support for us to start a business here. During the visit to the Cultural and Creative Park the third day, I saw many successful entrepreneurship projects. I believe that Zhuhai, as a cradle of businesses, will attract more entrepreneurs.
