The HHME2020, organized by Chongqing University, was being held from October 16 to 18, 2020 at Chongqing Sunac International Conference Center. HHME2020 is a top annual academic joint meeting at home and abroad covering 3 areas, including PCC, CHCI and CWCC. HHME2020 is sponsored by China Computer Federation and co-organized by Chongqing University, Chongqing University of Technology and the People’s Government of Shapingba District. The theme of HHME2020 is “human-machine interaction developing towards intelligence, pervasive computing transforming future life and intelligent wearable driving modernization of Chinese medicine”.
Opening ceremony of HHME2020
On the morning of October 17, the opening ceremony of HHME2020 was held at Chongqing Sunac International Conference Center. Ming Ju, vice president of CQU, Cai Tao, a standing member of CPC Shapingba District Committee, and a member of Party Group of the district government, Professor Dai Guozhong, honorary chairman of HHME2020, Professor Zhou Xingshe, a CCF fellow, Professor Shi Yuanchun, director of the Specialized Committee for Human-Machine Interaction of CCF, Professor Yu Zhiwen and Professor Pan Gang, deputy directors of the Specialized Committee for Pervasive Computing of CCF, as well as more than 450 experts and scholars in pervasive computing and wearable computing from Huawei, OPPO, Xiaomi, Meituan and Didi, were present at the opening ceremony. Liao Xiaofeng, dean of the School of Computer Science of Chongqing University, gave an introduction to the organization of HHME2020 and presided at the ceremony.

Ming Ju delivered a speech on behalf of Chongqing University. In his speech, he warmly welcomed the officials, guests and participants of the event. He pointed out that HHME2020 is an influential conference in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things and mobile computing in China. Ming expressed his hope that HHME2020 would provide a platform for Chongqing University to establish long-term contact and in-depth cooperation with domestic universities and relevant enterprises. They will collaborate to promote the development of relevant research in the field of harmonious human-computer environment.

Cai Tao addressed the attendants and announced opening of HHME2020. He pointed out that Shapingba District is currently actively participating in construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and West China (Chongqing) Science City, in an effort to build the “innovative and intelligent core” that will lead the high-quality development of Chongqing. The new-generation information technology is one of the main directions of industrial development in Shapingba District. HHME2020 is held in Shapingba District, which is of great significance to the academic research and breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence, the integration development and collaborative innovation of enterprise and academic circles.

Researchers and developers from relevant fields of academia and industry were invited to the event to discuss the development of emerging research directions, such as intelligent human-computer interaction, present situation and future development of pervasive computing, and insensitive intelligent wearable. The event lasted for three days. Five well-known scholars were invited to give special lectures. Five special forums, 1 for technical lecture, 4 for paper reports and for exhibition board, were set up. More than 90 scientific research institutions and more than 30 enterprises sent their representatives to participate in the event, with more than 450 participants.
