On April 9, 2021, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences released the list of approved “Major Projects Studying and Interpreting the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee Supported by the National Social Science Foundation”. The Project “research on the legal system of property rights of natural resources assets from the perspective of ecological civilization” directed by Professor Huang Xisheng from the School of Law of Chongqing University is among the list. This is another major project supported by the National Social Science Foundation directed by Professor Huang.
Huang has been long engaged in the study and teaching of environment and resource law, and has directed various major projects and general projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation, major projects under the Ministry of Education and major projects under the Ministry of Justice, as well as more than 10 projects of the ministry level or provincial level under the China Law Society. He has published more than 200 papers (including more than 90 CSSCI indexed papers) and more than 10 academic monographs; edited or co-edited more than 20 text books in law. Huang has won honors including the “Expert enjoying special government allowance of the State Council”, one of the “top 10 figures of rule of law of Chongqing in the 3rd selection”, “a leading academic and technical figure of Chongqing in the 3rd selection”, “Delta Environmental Law Young Scholar Award” and a talent supported by “the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University under the Ministry of Education”, and has made considerable contributions to the legal construction of environment and resources in China.
