The representatives of Chongqing University and Shapingba District of Chongqing signed an agreement on university-local government strategic cooperation in Conference Room 213, No. 1 Building, Campus A, Chongqing University on March 30, 2022. Shu Lichun, Secretary of CPC CQU Committee, and Tang Xiaoping, Secretary of CPC Shapingba District Committee, appeared at the signing ceremony. Li Jian, Vice President of Chongqing University, presided over the ceremony.
Liu Hanlong, Managing Vice President of Chongqing University, and Chen Ying, a standing member of CPC Shapingba District Committee and Managing Deputy Head of Shapingba District, signed the agreement on furthering university-local government strategic cooperation and the agreement on making joint efforts to build CQU Shapingba Hospital on behalf of the two sides.
Before agreement signing, Xiao Qinghua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shapingba District Committee and Head of the People's Government of Chongqing Shapingba District, and Wang Shilong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of CPC CQU Committee, gave an introduction to the development of Shapingba District and Chongqing University respectively.
Shu Lichun expressed heart-felt gratitude to Shapingba District for its continuous care, help and support for the development of Chongqing University, and went through the development history of CQU. According to Shu, the decision to carry out strategic cooperation shows the willingness of Chongqing University and Shapingba District to make joint efforts and common progress. He expressed his hope that the two sides would take this as an opportunity to work together to promote talent gathering, construction of innovation platforms, transformation of innovation achievements and university-local government construction and share, and carry out deeper all-round cooperation of higher quality. According to Shu, to implement and refine various related works, the two sides should focus on innovation of target promotion mechanism, promotion of complementary advantages in resources and increase of the efficiency of platforms, make further efforts to promote strategic planning and project implementation, and strive to spur the high-quality development of the society and economy of Shapingba District and various undertakings of Chongqing University.
Tang Xiaoping thanked Chongqing University for its support and help for Shapingba District over the years and congratulated on the achievements and progress CQU has made in recent years. Tang said that the two sides should deepen and implement the university-local government cooperation, make innovation in working mechanism, and make planning, coordinating and promoting efforts on a high level, in an effort to establish a strong tie between the two. The two sides are expected to make joint efforts to expedite the "Double-First-Rate" construction of Chongqing University, and make contribution to the construction of innovation-driven demonstration district, an opening leading demonstration district, a cultural heritage demonstration district and a people's city demonstration district.
Ming Ju and Liu Guiwen, Vice Presidents of Chongqing University, Li Peng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shapingba District Committee, Huang Kexin, Deputy Head of the People's Government of Chongqing Shapingba District, and Wu Dajun, Vice Chairman of Shapingba District Committee of CPPCC and Director of the Shapingba District Health Commission, showed up at the event. Responsible persons of the CQU Party Office, CQU President's Office, Organization Department, Domestic Cooperation Office, CQU Alumni Office, CQU Institute of Scientific Research and Development, CQU Industrial Technology Research Institute, Chongqing University Science Park Office, Community Office, the Faculty of Medicine and the School of Medicine, and responsible persons of related departments of Shapingba District and the sub-districts, attended the meeting.
