CQU's 7 scientific and technological journals named in 2022 World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report

Recently, the World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report (2022 Science and Technology Edition) (WJCI Report for short), a journal evaluation report jointly developed by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China and other institutions, was released. CQU's 7 scientific and technological journals were all named, including Journal of Chongqing University, Journal of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Chinese and English Editions), Nano Materials Science (English Edition), Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (English Edition), Chinese Journal of Underground Space and Engineering, Journal of Human Settlements in West China and China Pharmacy.




WJCI Report adheres to journal classification and evaluation. On the basis of fully making reference to international database classification, the classification system highlights the perspectives and practicality and divides the evaluated journals into 291 subject categories, and implements a unified standard quantitative evaluation on Chinese and foreign journals by disciplines. Among the journals named in 2022 WJCI Report, there are 1,634 Chinese journals, with an average WJCI index of 1.378, ranking ninth in the world.

The acceptance of these 7 scientific and technological journals marks that CQU's cultivation and construction of high-level academic journals has made continuous progress. The Journal Club will adhere to the goal of "spreading to the world, benchmarking top journals and pursuing excellence", and strive to build international, professional, digital, intensive and brand-oriented journals, so as to continuously and comprehensively promote the high-quality development of academic journals.
