On October 27, 2023, the Annual Report on International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals (2023) jointly prepared by CNKI and Tsinghua University Library was released officially, revealing the list of "The Highest Internationally Impact Academic Journal of China" (top 5%) and "High Internationally Impact Academic Journals of China" (top 5%-10%). The English journal, Nano Materials Science (NMS), run by Chongqing University, with Academician Lyu Jian as Editor in Chief is once again listed in "The Highest Internationally Impact Academic Journal of China" (top 5%).
It is reported that NMS has an international clout index (CI) of 184.601 and an international other-citation impact factor of 10.063. The Annual Report has been released for 12 consecutive years. It counts the citations of Chinese journals in international journals and objectively reflects the impact and discourse power of Chinese academic journals in international academic research. Statistical sources of the Annual Report include international journals, conference papers and books, of which there are 23,572 international journals. The Report counts the international citation of 6,888 Chinese academic journals, which are divided into two groups of social sciences and science & technology to respectively calculate their clout index (CI) and select those of TOP5% as "The Highest Internationally Impact Academic Journal of China" (175) and those between TOP5% and 10% as "High Internationally Impact Academic Journals of China" (175), together referred to as Top Internationally Impact Academic Journals.
NMS's being listed in the Top Journals once again means that the academic quality and international impact of the journal have been further recognized. In the future, it will stay true to its original intention of running the journal, adhere to academic guidance, strive to build a world first-class science and technology journal, serve the development of nano science, and make positive contributions to the construction of "double-first-rate" universities and the realization of high-level science and technology self-reliance of China.
