CQU Holds Reception for Students Staying on Campus During the Spring Festival of 2024

At noon on February 9, 2024, CQU hosted a lovely reception on the occasion of the coming Chinese new year for students who stayed on CQU campuses during the Spring Festival to express its care and blessings for them. Held at the third cafeteria of CQU Campus A, the reception was graced by Feng Yedong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CQU, Chen Dong, Director of the Department of Student Affairs of the Party Committee of CQU, as well as relevant officials from the Department of Student Affairs, the Department of Logistics, and the School of International Education, and the students who stayed on CQU campuses to welcome the Spring Festival of the Year of the Loong.

 

At 11:30 a.m., the students gathered and enthusiastically engaged in activities at the reception.


 

Feng inquired in detail about the students' study and life on CQU campuses during the winter vacation, expressed his solicitude for the difficulties they encountered on CQU campuses during the winter vacation, and shared a joyful moment with them by writing Spring Festival couplets and wrapping dumplings.

 

During the reception, Feng and the heads of departments also supplied new year's gifts for the students via a lively lucky draw.

 

 Feng sent his new year greetings and best wishes to all the students stayed on CQU campuses during the winter vacation, and encouraged them to continue to excel in the new year, actively engage in learning and scientific research, constantly sharpen themselves, and make greater contributions to their personal growth, the development of CQU and the country's prosperity.

  

During the reception, the students also delivered their messages. They indicated that they felt at home with the care and companionship from CQU leadership despite of being away from meeting with their families. In the new year, they will live up to their responsibilities, study hard and work hard to realize their life goals.

 

The participating faculty and students spent an unforgettable Chinese new year in a joyful atmosphere.

 

In addition, CQU specially arranged a three-day free buffet campaign that lasted from February 9 to February 11, 2024 for the students who stayed on CQU campuses at the third cafeteria of Campus A, the second cafeteria of Campus B, as well as the second floor of the first student cafeteria and the third student cafeteria of the Huxi Campus. This is not only a culinary feast, but also highlights CQU's concern and encouragement to the students, in the hope that they can have a warm and happy Spring Festival on CQU campuses.
