Liu Hanlong, male, Han nationality, was born in March 1964 in Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province. He is a member of the CPC, holding a doctorate in engineering and serving as a professor, doctoral supervisor, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His primary focus lies in the environmental geotechnical mechanics, disaster prevention and mitigation engineering, soft foundation reinforcement, and pile foundation engineering.
Professor Liu Hanlong has dedicated himself to both scientific research and personnel training in these fields. He boasts an impressive publication record, including 326 high-level SCI-indexed papers, and 12 highly cited ESI papers, with an H-index of 59. Recognized for his scholarly contributions, he has been honored as a highly cited scholar of China by Elsevier annually since 2019. Additionally, in 2023, he was acknowledged in the list of Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate. Professor Liu Hanlong’s accomplishments extend beyond academia, with 132 national invention patents and 7 software copyrights. Moreover, he has authored 5 monographs in both Chinese and English and served as the editor-in-chief for 7 national and industrial standards. Professor Liu Hanlong's excellence has been recognized through numerous awards and accolades. He has received 2 second prizes in the National Award for Technological Invention, 1 second prize in the National Award for Scientific and Technological Progress, and 2 second prizes in the National Award for Teaching Achievements. Notably, he was honored with the first National Innovation Competition Award, the Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, the Mao Yisheng Academic Award in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, the DESAI Medal of ISSMGE, and the Award for Outstanding Science and Technology Contribution in Chongqing, among others.
