CQU Doctoral Candidate Que Yumei granted “International Early Career Investigator Award”

American Heart Association (AHA) Conference is the academic conference with the greatest academic influence and longest history in the cardiovascular area worldwide. It is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Its 2018 Annual Meeting was held in Chicago, and was attended by more than 18,000 professionals from 180 countries all over the world. Que Yumei, a doctoral candidate from the research group led by Professor Tong Xiaoyong from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chongqing University, made a presentation on “acceleration of arterial aneurysm formation by partial deactivation of 674th cysteine endoplasm reticulum calcium ATPase of sarcoplasmic reticulum”, and won the “International Early Career Investigator Award” of AHA. This Award is given to promising scientific researchers that are expected to make remarkable contributions to prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the future. A total of 15 young scholars from across the world were given this award. Doctoral Candidate Que Yumei is the first CQU student to win this honor.
