According to the Notice on Printing and Issuing List of Fourth Batch of Talents Included in the “National Special Support Program for High-level Personnel Recruitment” of the General Office of the Organizing Department of the Central Committee of CPC, three professors of Chongqing University, including Chai Hongxiang, Ding Xuanming and Zhu Xun are included in the “Special Support Program” as leading figures in science and technology. Before that, Chai Hongxiang and Ding Xuanming were respectively included in the Innovative Talent Promotion Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology as the young and middle-aged leading figures in scientific and technological innovation in 2018 and 2019 respectively. The “heterogeneous reaction flow transmission and conversion process strengthening” innovation team led by Professor Zhu Xun was included in the Innovative Talent Promotion Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology as the leading team in key area of 2019.

Professor Chai Hongxiang, doctor, doctoral candidate, doubling as director of the Building & Municipal Engineering  Products Application Branch, China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization, member of Building Water Supply and Drainage Committee, Water Industry Branch, China Civil Engineering Society, and member of Specialized Committee on China Eco-city Study of Chinese Society For Urban Studies. He is mainly engaged in research of water pollution control technologies. In recent years, he has directed projects under the National Key R&D Program, national major special projects of science and technology, projects under the National Sci-tech Support Plan, and projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Professor Chai has won 1 ministerial/provincial/industrial special award for science and technology, and 2 second awards, and has published more than 40 SCI indexed papers. In addition, he has been granted more than 30 invention patents, and participated in a number of national standards, local standards, industrial standards, group standards and technical policy guidelines.

Professor Ding Xuanming, doctor and doctoral candidate; winner of the National Scientific Fund for Outstanding Young Talents, a Young Changjiang Scholar, and a talent included in the New Century Support Program for Outstanding Talents of the Ministry of Education; Professor Ding is mainly engaged in research of pile foundation dynamics and theory and technology of soft soil foundation reinforcement. In recent years, he has directed 2 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project supported by Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation and 1 project supported by Jiangsu Post-doctor Foundation, and has participated in 8 other projects, including projects under the Changjiang Scholar Innovation Team Program of the Ministry of Education, key projects, general projects and youth projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation. He has won 2 national second awards for technological invention, 4 first awards for science and technology of the ministerial and provincial level, the gold prize of science and technology award for young people issued by Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering, science and technology award for young people issued by China Society for Vibration Engineering, and the award nomination in the National Doctoral Thesis Contest. Professor Ding has published 90 papers, including 26 SCI-indexed papers and 40 EI-indexed papers, and has published one monograph. He has participated in compilation of 3 national specifications and 2 ministerial and provincial specifications, and granted 1 national construction method, 5 provincial construction methods, 35 invention patents and 6 software copyrights.

Dr. Zhu Xun, second-level professor, and doctoral supervisor; winner of project supported by National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young People, an expert receiving special allowance granted by the State Council, chief scientist of projects supported by the National Key R&D Program, a New Century Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education, and specially-appointed professor under the Bayu Scholar Program of Chongqing; deputy director of the Specialized Committee on Multi-phase Flow of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, member of the Heat and Mass Transfer Branch of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, and member of the Specialized Group on Heat Pipe of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics. Dr. Zhu Xun is mainly engaged in research of fuel cell technology, micro-scale multi-phase flow and heat and mass transfer, energy conservation and emission reduction and conversion of microbial energy. She has served as directors of more than 10 national, ministerial and provincial projects, including projects supported by the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young People, projects under the National Key R&D Program, and key national cooperation research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation. Dr. Zhu has published nearly 200 SCI-indexed papers, which have been cited by others for more than 2,000 times. She has also won 4 awards including second award for natural science of Chongqing and second national award for progress in energy science and technology.
