At 9:00am on April 29, 2019, the 2019 “May 1^st” Labor Day Commendation Conference of Chongqing was held at Chongqing Working People’s Cultural Palace. It was sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions. Associate Professor Wan Manlu of Chongqing University was awarded the “May 1^st Labor Medal of Chongqing”.

Teacher Wan Manlu has been working hard in the front line of teaching and scientific research and has been highly spoken of by her supervisors and colleagues. With selfless devotion and enthusiasm for teaching, Wan has taught a total of 30 courses and cultivated more than 2,000 students. She always “takes students as the center”, and keeps improving her teaching skills without any reserves. She has also been exploring teaching reform and improving her professional ability. Honors she has won include the second prize in “the 4^th National Teaching Competition for Young College and University Teachers”, the special award in the “4^th Chongqing Teaching Competition for College and University Teachers” (the first in the arts groups), the first prize of “Chongqing Teaching Achievement Award” and the title of the “Most Beautiful Woman Teacher of Chongqing in 2018”. Wan is devoted to scientific research and social service, and has been making active contributions to spreading outstanding Chinese traditional culture. She has set an example of “loving what you do, and specializing in what you love”.
