On the morning of June 22, 2021, Frédéric BESSAT, an officer from the Consulate General of France in Chengdu in charge of scientific, technological and educational cooperation, Li Aoli, director of Chengdu Center of Campus France, and Chen Jia, director of Chongqing Office of Campus France, visited Chongqing University, and had a meeting with Huang He, head of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Gao Xiang, deputy head of the Office and Li Zhengguo, dean of the School of Life Sciences, CQU.

At the meeting, Huang He gave a brief introduction to Chongqing University's history, discipline advantages, scientific research and international exchanges. Li Zhengguo introduced the cooperation between the School of Life Sciences and French colleges and universities. After that, Frédéric BESSAT gave a brief view of the possible fields of cooperation between Chongqing University and French colleges and universities.

The two sides agreed to make joint efforts to promote cooperation between CQU and French colleges and universities in areas such as student exchanges, teacher-student exchanges, scholarship projects, scientific research cooperation, and joint seminars.

It is reported that Chongqing University has established cooperation relation with 10 French colleges and universities, including Sciences Po, ESTP, ENSAM, Aix-Marseille University, Université fédérale de Toulouse-Midi-Pyrénées, La Rochelle Business School, EMLYON Business School, Toulouse Business School, Université Lyon 3, and CY Cergy Paris Université.
