CQU Cancer Hospital holds Pre-departure Training Class Mobilization Meeting for the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea

On March 10, the Pre-departure Training Class Mobilization Meeting for the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea was held at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital. A total of 27 people concerned attended the Meeting, including Deng Li, a member of the CPC Committee and Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, Yang Bin, Director of the International Cooperation Office of Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, Zhang Taofeng, the Deputy Director, officials of related organizations, directors of the related departments (sections), and candidates of the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea. Zhang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of CQU Cancer Hospital, presided at the Meeting.



Xu Lingli, Head of the Personnel Section of CQU Cancer Hospital, explained the organization and assignment of the medical team, and read the list of the members of the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea.



Wu Yongzhong, Secretary of CPC Committee of CQU Cancer Hospital, pointed out in his speech that CQU Cancer Hospital had been attaching great importance to the public welfare characteristics of public hospitals, and had been actively involved in implementation of the national strategy, so as to ensure that it is always available, prepared and competent when needed by the party and the country. As for external medical aid, CQU Cancer Hospital has successively recommended 13 medical workers to the centralized training of candidates of Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea. Finally, 8 of them were selected as formal members and participated in the medical aid. Wu expressed his expectation that the team members would really learn something in the training, strictly abide by training discipline, follow the arrangement, make improvement, and get well prepared for the external aid tasks.



Xiang Wang, Director of Chongqing Health Service Center, said that in recent years, the Center had been implementing a tripartite linkage mechanism made up of the competent administrative department, responsible organization and pre-departure project implementing organization, and had established the leading group of pre-departure training project, in an effort to strengthen the organization and leadership of external medical aid, make clear the responsibilities, enhance management and provide considerate services. By doing so, it aims to carry out the pre-departure training of the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea in a satisfactory way.


Chen Gang, Head of the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea, delivered a speech on behalf of the team. In his speech, Chen said that they would stick to the initial mission and make improvement, adhere to the fine tradition that values hardworking, devotedness, care for people and great love, and make contribution to the external medical aid of China in the new era with first-rate medical techniques.



After listening to the organization and assignment of the 12th Chinese Medical Team to Papua New Guinea, Deng Li brought up three expectations for all the trainees. In the first place, Deng expected that they could deepen their understanding of external medical aid task and raise their political standing focusing on building a community with a shared future for mankind and the country's overall diplomatic strategy. Furthermore, Deng expected that they would study hard and improve their skills, including English language skill and external aid skill, so as to get well prepared for performing the external aid tasks. In addition, Deng expected that they build a strong, positive, and highly disciplined medical team that have overall situation consciousness, obedience consciousness and cooperation consciousness. Moreover, Deputy Director Deng Li urged the responsible organization to carry out the training with chariness and responsibility by taking practical measures, and strengthening management and discipline.
