On June 8, 2022, Elsevier released its 2021 CiteScore, which is an indicator that reflects the latest influence of peer reviewed journals, series of books, conference papers and industry journals included in Scopus Database.

By now, NMS is in Q1 of 3 disciplines in the Scopus Database. Chemical Engineering: Chemical Engineering (miscellaneous), the second place (2/42), among top 4.8%; Materials Science: Materials Science (miscellaneous), the 5th place, (5/124), among top 4.0%; EngineeringMechanics of Materials, the tenth place (10/384), among top 2.6%.

It is reported that CiteScore is a new journal evaluation system launched by Elsevier in December 2016. CiteScore2021 was obtained by dividing the citations of papers, reviews, conference papers, book chapters and data papers between 2018 and 2021 with the total number of papers published between 2018 and 2021, covering a period as long as 4 years. As a result, it provides a more convincing picture of the influence of journals. CiteScoreTracker 2022 will be updated on a monthly basis till the next year of CiteScore calculation.
